The Willow School, a small, independent coeducational day school for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, is located in Gladstone, NJ. Respect for, and an deep understanding of, the natural world is a key component of the philosophy and curriculum. A commentary on the mission statement states that "We are a school that sees sustainability as a key element in our relationship with the natural world as much as with our social world", and further states that students "also learn to share, respect, and conserve nature’s resources." It is no surprise that The Willow School called on CitiLog for full circle wood recycling during its construction. White pine salvaged from the site was used to make a wide variety of furniture.
