CitiLog Full Circle Upcycling Platinum Certification is awarded when trees return to the site they came from as finished wood products. The circle starts when trees have fallen, are being removed due to disease, or to make room for construction or are being reclaimed from demolished buildings. The trees are taken to our mill, upcycled into finished wood products such as flooring, architectural millwork or furniture. The circle is completed when the finished products are brought back to the site where the original trees once stood. The tree has a new life, no virgin timber was cut down to create the product, and the carbon is sequestered inside the finished product. Gold differs from Platinum in that the trees used in Gold projects come from one site, they go to our mill and the finished wood products end up at a different site. With Platinum, the finished wood products come back to the site where the trees once stood.
